Ryan Mendy.

Ryan is the CCO at Zilch, driving the company's growth and reputation through his strategic expertise in Corporate Communications and Investor Relations. Ryan’s original role was raising the company's equity and debt capital while working with the founders from the beginning to help build and craft Zilch’s story in the market. From Strategic Advisor to the CEO and Board, in 2019, he later transitioned full-time to the executive management team, leveraging his vast experience to steer and shape corporate strategy, strengthen investor and media relations, and navigate government policy to drive Zilch’s vision and impact.

Ryan also serves as founding co-chair of the Unicorn Council for UK Fintech (UCFT) executive committee. Collectively valued at more than £50bn, the council is a market-first body uniting CEOs and leaders of over 25 of the UK’s most valuable, late-stage and fastest-growing fintech firms. Collaborating with 10 Downing Street, HM Treasury, and industry stakeholders, the council is designed to drive efficiencies in leadership engagement while shaping policy, enhancing market perception, and unlocking liquidity in capital markets and regulation to accelerate economic growth and strengthen the UK fintech sector’s global standing.

With over 25 years of experience, Ryan has a diverse background that spans investment banking, with corporate advisory and analyst roles at institutions such as Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs,​​ as well as founding a research business focused on activist investing, focused on deals like Ebay/PayPal, MSG and Vivendi. His track record in corporate actions includes working closely with Fund Managers, CEOs and Boards of public and private companies across international markets. Ryan has been involved in more than 100 equity fundraisings, IPOs, and corporate spin-offs, demonstrating his extensive experience and track record in financial markets​​. Ryan studied Art at college, professionally corporate accounting, securities and regulation.
