Mark's extensive experience in managing global financial businesses positions him as an invaluable asset to Zilch. As an Independent Non-Executive Director, Mark plays a pivotal role in driving Zilch's growth and helping to secure its position as a category leader.
In 2009, as CEO and President of AIA, Mark steered the company through the global financial crisis, leading it to a historic IPO, which was one of the largest in corporate history at the time. Following this achievement, Mark assumed the role of Group CEO at Aviva, where he successfully refocused the group and rebuilt its financial strength. Since then, he has founded Talos Capital and invested in several fintech ventures, while also serving on the main Board of Directors at BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager.
Mark is a passionate advocate for sustainable business practices. In 2015, he represented global business at the United Nations General Assembly during the launch of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). His commitment to sustainable success aligns perfectly with Zilch's promotion of financial inclusion and its vision to eliminate the high cost of consumer credit.
